Teri Josephson, L.M.T.
With both of my pregnancies I was so excited and in awe of the changes, both physical and emotional, that took place in me. I also noticed there were many aches and pains that went along with these changes, which at times made it harder for me to enjoy the experience. Because of this, as a massage therapist I have sought out techniques that can help with the different aches, pains, and needs specific to pregnancy so that those I work on can have a healthier and more enjoyable experience.
I have an office in West Valley, or I can come to your home. I understand that sometimes the stress of life or bed rest can make it hard to get into an office, and I am happy to come to you (within the Salt Lake Valley). My office is inside Meier & Marsh Professional Therapies, where you can come for a massage, or if you also are in need or physical therapy work, you can combine the two.
Being pregnant can be so exciting and fun for you and your family. Whether you come to me or I come to you, it is my desire to help you decrease your stress and pains and increase your enjoyment of this wonderful time in your life!

Testimonials
During my last pregnancy I was considered high risk. I wanted to avoid medication and not have to deliver early. I unfortunately was hospitalized with severe pre-eclampsia at about 31 weeks gestation. I was very alarmed when the doctors were telling me that they were going to have to do a C-section as my previous 4 children were all healthy vaginal deliveries. As things were rapidly declining with my blood pressure and the medications they were giving me were not working at all, I called Teri to come and give me a massage to see if we could delay or reduce the significance of the inevitable. Teri without hesitation came to the hospital to work on me while I lay in my bed in terrible discomfort from all the drugs and pain that they were inducing upon me. The whole time Teri was massaging me, my blood pressure was stabilized and I was relaxed so that I could get some much needed rest. Her hands were so magical for my pain and condition. I was able to have my blood pressure stabilize enough to still deliver without a C-section and stay pregnant for a couple more days. I truly believe that my massages from Teri made all the difference in reducing the severity of my condition. Thank you Teri!

I have enjoyed a number of massages from Teri. Besides the fact that it feels wonderful, and that it refreshes you, I love the attention she pays to the person she is working on. She always listens to your needs and does her best to work on the areas you need worked on the most. She also shares her knowledge with you to help you after your massage is finished. When I was pregnant and receiving massages, she let me know of things to be careful of so that I wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize my pregnancy. She also taught me some things I could do as the time was coming close, it help the baby along. She was very understanding of my needs, and I always left feeling so good. Any time, any condition, she’s helped to rejuvenate my body so I’m ready to enjoy living.

I have had lower back problems throughout my life. Because of this, when I got pregnant, the doctor suggested that I may want to do physical therapy to help stabilize my sacrum, especially as the baby got bigger. I chose a nearby physical therapy office which also offered massage, and that is where I met Teri. She is so sweet, knowledgeable, and understanding. Working with her and the physical therapists I was able to do appropriate stretching, and strengthening, as well as get much needed relaxation and relief from the aches and pains I was having. It may sound funny, but my back really never felt so good! Teri is wonderful! I still go see her for massage, she has won me over for life!
