Learn infant massage as a way to connect with your baby.  Help your baby to sleep more regularly, improve digestion and elimination, heal from birth trauma and cope with daily stresses. PRE- & PERINATAL MASSAGE THERAPY CERTIFICATION COURSE, Mar 8-11, 2012

This course was developed by Carole Osborne and will be taught by Carole herself, AMTA 2008 Teacher of the Year. It encompasses bodywork in all three trimesters, during labor, and postpartum. High-risk pregnancies and complications will be discussed in detail to prepare you to work safely with this population. Well-paced practice segments, a practicum with pregnant women, and a graphically-rich, extensive student handbook guarantee your assimilation of techniques. Purchase of the text enables the user to access on-line video demonstrations of  the techniques to allow for easy review. This certification workshop is designed for experienced graduates of 500 hours diversified somatic programs. 32 CEUs offered. Other perinatal professionals are admitted with instructor approval. INFANT MASSAGE EDUCATOR CERTIFICATION, March 15-18; Sept 27-30, 2012

This course prepares you to teach parents and caregivers to massage their infants and children. The 15-point curriculum, designed by Vimala McClure, author of Infant Massage a Handbook for Loving Parents, will give you the knowledge base, experience and confidence you will need to fulfill your role as an educator.  During the three parent-baby classes which are part of the training, you will get practical experience teaching.  The 4-day course plus completion of the exam and practicum qualify for 52 CE Hours for nurses, 56 CE Hours for massage therapists and PDHs for Child Life Specialists and 5 CEUs for Occupational Therapist through AOTA. Training fee is $650 with early registration discount available.
