Lecture Series

Periodically, we will host free lectures for the community given on topics surrounding childbirth and caring for you infant. Please contact us if you would like to donate your time and expertise.

Free Wellness Forum: Infant Massage — Saturday, April 17th, 3-5 p.m.

Infant Massage: Addressing Birth Trauma through Nurturing Touch. Presenters will discuss current research, the birth experience from the infant’s perspective, postnatal trauma and the effect on families, and massage as a way to heal and help families bond. Dr. Shannon Haley, PhD, Dr. Gregg Lund, DO, Dr. Kimberly Clayton, DO, Sheryl Seliger, LCSW, Karen Salas Wheeler, Certified Infant Massage Educator.

Community Event

Visit Vitalize Community Studio for a calendar of events.  Vitalize Community Studio opened January 1, 2010.  The studio is co- owned by the founders of Utah Prenatal Massage and offers classes, seminars and workshops focused on movement, connection, and transformation.

2nd Annual Great Mom Escape — Saturday, May 1st, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mark your calendars for a day of relaxation, good food, beautiful surroundings, and wonderful information. More information coming soon.  This is a free event, open to all women,  held in the Summit room at the Cliff Lodge in Snowbird.

UPM Study Group

Beginning in August of 2008, we will sponsor bi-monthly study groups, in which we will focus on manual techniques, emotional support measures and professional issues. Pre & Post Natal Yoga Certification Workshop w/ Stephanie Keach
Friday, March 12, 4:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday, March 13, 8:30 - 12:00 pm & 2:30 - 6:00 pm Sunday, March 14, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm A special weekend training and certification for yoga teachers, yoga teachers in training, midwives, doulas, body workers, expectant mothers and future expectant mothers. Prenatal yoga helps prevent common discomforts of pregnancy while preparing the body for childbirth by stretching and strengthening the lower back, abdominal and pelvic floor muscles and opening the hips and sacrum.
